The joy of capturing still life objects through drawing, painting or any range of media exploration, is the ‘new’ way of looking it allows me.  Small objects observed closely and sometimes enlarged into the abstract, allows me to see beyond my normal viewpoint.  I get to enjoy colours and textures from a whole new perspective.  Formal elements prevail for me when working with still life subject matter and my results range from the realistic to the abstract.
